Sisyphos

With Sisyphos, sh|ft ensemble moves in circles. In a program full of repetition and constraint, the ability and necessity to experience something new through repetition is examined. Processes are designed to stimulate perception and imagination. A change of perspective is initiated - on one's own actions and their observation. Distance and proximity are interchanged, individual action steps are observed in a macro setting. Attempts are made to fool repetition through abstraction and immersion, sometimes successfuly, sometimes failing.
